Bea Arthur, mine and your favorite ‘Golden Girl,’ has died at aged 86 from cancer. The Emmy and Tony winning actress died Saturday morning surrounded by her family and friends.
Arthur got her start on Broadway in ”Mame,” and in her later years broke out as a huge television star in the sitcom “All in the Family.” She was then given her own series, “Maude,” which was on CBS from 1972 to 1978. Her most well known work came even later in “The Golden Girls” with actresses Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, who died last year. The sitcom was on NBC from 1985 to 92.
We’ll miss ya, Bea!
