Controversial Miss California: No Gay Marriage

Posted on 21. Apr, 2009 by Gouda in Entertainment, Lifestyle, News, Politics, Scoopage

Miss californiaWe all know beauty pageant contestants aren’t rocket scientists, but I didn’t know they were completely braindead.

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, lost the Miss USA pageant the other night.  And she’s blaming her answer to the question she was asked on gay marriage from blogger Perez Hilton.

Let me be clear, she doesn’t think her answer was wrong.  When asked if more states should allow gay marriages, she responded:

“I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other … same sex marriage or opposite marriage… I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman … that’s how I was raised.”

And now she’s saying she lost because just thinks the gay judge didn’t like it.  What!?  Okay, she didn’t say that, but it’s pretty apparent.

“I did not want to offend anybody, but I think with that question specifically, it’s not about being politically correct, for me it was being biblically correct,” she told Matt Lauer on the Today show on Tuesday.

When he asked if she would do it over, she said no.  ”It wasn’t what God wanted for my life that night,” she told Lauer.

Maybe she should have re-worded her answer about gay marriage, and put a little “it wasn’t what God wanted” in there then.  Would have made the answer better, right?  Oh, no.  Still would have been a bad answer.
