Michael Jackson’s Mom Gets Full Custody of His Kids

Posted on 30. Jul, 2009 by rubber chicken in Entertainment, Scoopage, Video

rowe jacksonKatherine Jackson, 79, has gotten full custody of Michael Jackson’s three children: Prince Michael, Paris, and Prince Michael II (aka Blanket). Why? Because she did such a great job with her own children? Hardly. We’ve heard stories from Michael and others of his siblings about the harsh physical and mental abuse they suffered growing up under the tyranny of father Joseph Jackson. With that track record and Katherine’s elderly age, why not leave the kids with one of Michael’s eight siblings?

It is unfortunate that Debbie Rowe, the mother of the elder two children, does not seem interested in raising them. She will get visitation rights and will continue to receive spousal support from her marriage to Jackson. She and Katherine have reached an amicable agreement. People Magazine quotes a statement from Jackson’s lawyers:

Mrs. Jackson and the family are pleased this matter is resolved and was handled in a caring, thoughtful and courteous manner by the parties and their representatives… We were all united in our goals to do what is best for Michael’s wonderful children, and both Mrs. Jackson and Debbie Rowe were on the exact same page. Accordingly, although important issues had to be resolved, this was no legal contest but rather simply a process doing the right thing for the right reasons.
