Black Eyed Peas Upset

Saturday night at France’s NRJ Awards the Black Eyed Peas opened the show with a crowd pleasing performance of their hit song “I Gotta Feeling?”. Everyone was pumped as the show began.
Unfortunately things turned sour for the BEP. When presenters Ke$ha and Kamal Ouali took the stage to present the award for “best international group” they mistakenly named the Black Eyed Peas as the winners. How do you screw up like that? Well, according to the apology by Ouali the information card was confusing because it contained the winner’s name as well as all of the other nominees.
As it turned out, the German rock band Tokio Hotel was the real winner.

What’s more upsetting is that this isn’t the first time this has happened at the NRJ Awards. Last year presenters mistakenly awarded Katy Perry with the “best international song” that was actually slated for Rihanna.
