Boondock Saints II

If you’re like me (and I assume everyone IS) you loved the first Boondock Saints movie! Not necessarily in theatres but certainly on DVD. You probably had all your buddies over to watch this funny and violent movie while doing your best Irish accents and perhaps imitating Rocco.
“Me! Me! I’m the guy! I know everyone! Their habits, who they hang out with, who they talk to! I’ve got phone numbers, addresses! I know who they’re fucking! I know where they live! We could kill everyone.”
Or perhaps the ever popular:
“Hey fuck-ass, give me a beer.”
Basically this movie effing RULED. Now, years later comes Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day.
When I first heard about this I damn near wet myself with excitement. But, then I saw the trailer…and to quote Rocco one more time:
“They can suck my pathetic little dick.”
I gotta say, this movie looks like franchise piece of crap that Hollywood cranked out in a desperate effort to turn a profit. Hey I could be wrong, the first one bombed in theatres too. I can only hope that the sequel doesn’t destroy a storyline I used to love.
Troy Duffy (writer-director) might have sold his soul to get this movie off the ground but the basics that made the first one great are present in number 2. Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus return as Connor and Murphy MacManus, two Irish brothers from Boston who like to fight, drink, pray and kill members of organized crime in super slow-motion while sliding across a floor.
