Today’s date, 01/02/2010, reads the same forward and backwards, which makes it a palindrome.
It’s the second date so far in this century that reads as a palindrome, though the occurrence of these dates is usually very rare. There will be 12 in the 21st century. But the last century that saw one was the 14th century, 630 years ago, on August 31, 1380 or 08/31/1380.
The next palindrome date will be next year on 11/02/2011.
There will be 36 palindrome dates this millennium, the last occurring on 09/22/2290. And the one after that won’t be until 10/03/3001. So cherish your palindrome days while you still have them.
