Notre Dame Takes A Hit

Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis has been under fire lately for a disappointing season. Currently at a 6-5 season and overall record of 35-26 his job security is certainly under question. However, this Saturday the Fighting Irish lost a home game against Connecticut that went to double overtime. The press is attacking Weis for lack of leadership but it appears that the fans are attacking quarterback Jimmy Clausen…literally.
Its been reported that in the wee hours after that crushing loss, Jimmy Clausen was punched in the face by an angry fan outside of a restaurant in South Bend, Ind. Even the No. 4 ranked passer in the nation could escape the frustrated fan furry. He suffered a black eye from the “sucker punch”…let’s hope that fires him up for the regular season closer at Stanford this Saturday.
