Penn Gets Slammed

So, back in 1988 Sean Penn did a movie with a woman named Maria Conchita Alonso called “Colors”. Yep, I’ve never heard of it either. But that’s not the point. The point is that now the former Miss Venezuela is slamming Penn in an open letter titled “An Open Letter To Sean Penn”…real original.
Apparently back on March 5th Sean was a guest on Real Time With Bill Maher and he made some remarks in favor of the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Penn remarked that the President had been elected in 14 of the most transparent elections on the globe and had been elected Democratically.
Baby don’t play that.
“Dear Sean, WHY?” she begins. “Even though I have great respect for your artistic talent, I was appalled by a recent television interview where you vigorously showed support for the regime of Hugo Chavez. Therefore, I’ve decided to set the record straight for you regarding the Chavez regime, supporting my case based not only on my political ideologies, but on proven facts you choose to ignore. Otherwise, I believe your position would be different.”
In an interview with Fox News she goes on to say that Penn doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Could Penn be the new Bono? Douchebags in politics is not a moniker that any celebrity wants (yet most end up earning).
