“There’s going to be swift action.” said Governor Schwarzenegger in response to seeing his wife, Maria Shriver, violating a California state cell phone law.
The law requires California drivers to use a handsfree device while driving and took effect July 2008. It was publicly supported by the Governor and in fact he made a statement to his then 16-year-old daughter saying that if she ever broke the law…
“she’ll be taking the bus.”
Now we have pictures and video on Harvey Levin’s TMZ, showing the first lady with a cell phone to her ear. Schwarzenegger’s promise of “swift action” was delivered via Twitter. That threat may have been made in haste. According to his spokesman Aaron McLear the “swift action” means that Arnold will ask his wife not to hold the phone while driving.
I expected more from the Terminator!
