What are you doing for Christmas this year? Will you be sitting around the tree, unwrapping presents, watching yet another 24-hour marathon of A Christmas Story while sucking back enough eggnog so you can finally tolerate your family?
That’s cool I guess…for you. But you know what I’m gonna do? I’m gonna get my ass into the nearest movie theatre and watch the most badass movie of the year: Sherlock Holmes!
Holy crap! Maybe you’ve heard the rumors and seen the trailer. But in case you haven’t…you’re in for a treat! Guy Ritchie (RocknRolla, Snatch, Lock Stock), ya know…Guy Mutha-Effing Ritchie, has teamed up with Robert Downey Jr, Rachel McAdams and Jude Law for this epic version of Sherlock Holmes.
There are gunfights, sword fights, fistfights, lovers’ fights and fights involving electrocution. There are explosions, near-death experiences and horse-carriage races that make the Ronin car chase look like fat kids on big-wheels. Dude! You gotta see this movie. Robert Downey Jr said about his character:
“He’s a total badass,” the Oscar nominee said. “He thinks through all eventualities, possibilities and counterattacks when he’s fighting, so he actually has the fight worked out before he starts.”
