Smart Music: PlaylistNow

As we all know, the internet is getting smarter and smarter each and every day. Every time we add content, tag an item, upload code or simply use a search engine the internet gets smarter. This is just the tip of a much larger concept called “the semantic web”. You may or may not have heard of this but I’ve embedded a video in this post that explains it…thereby making the internet smarter!
Why do I mention this? Because this concept is the foundation to a new online music platform that actively helps you find what you want. This platform is called “PlaylistNow“. Basically it uses semantic technology in order to find what you’re looking for with much greater accuracy. Seemingly endless playlists have been created and filtered by certain key words. Simply type a key word into the search and it will generate a playlist that you can fully customize.
Why is this cool? You never have to spend hours searching for certain artists or songs to create your own playlist again! Just type in a “mood” or “place” or “action”, or anything really, and PlaylistNow will auto-generate a sweet song set for your listening pleasure. I just typed in “smoking weed with my friends” and got 41 playlists returned, each with an average of about 100 songs. Talk about stoners delight!
