WalMart Gang Initiation Hoax

Police departments all over Florida are being inundated with phone calls about a rumored gang initiation that is to involve murdering three women at a WalMart. This is just an urban myth which, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, has been going around for years. It’s popped up again and spread like crazy because of the ease of forwarding mail on the internet. “At this time the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Miami-Dade PD, Broward County Sheriff’s Office and Tallahassee police have found no credible information to substantiate this threat.”
If you need a reason not to shop at WalMart, I can give you a few: They put local stores out of business, pay low wages and manipulate hours to avoid paying health benefits. WalMart has also been found guilty of locking illegal immigrants inside stores overnight while they clean, not paying overtime, sex discrimination, using child labor overseas… Shall I continue? You don’t need a rumor about gang murders to keep you away from WalMart; you just need a conscience.
