Cohen Steps Down

Less than a week after winning the nomination, Democratic nominee for Illinois’ lieutenant governor Scott Lee Cohen has dropped out of the race.
Democrats were uncertain that they could win with Cohen on the ticket. His past brings up serious concerns amongst the party. After winning the nomination his past has been drudged up and what the public has found out is appalling. He has been accused of abusing his ex-wife and holding a knife to the throat of an ex-girlfriend (who also happens to be a prostitute) and oh yeah, he has admitted to doing steroids. Who is this guy???
So, during halftime of the Super Bowl at a local bar in Chicago, choked up with tear and reeking of booze, Scott Lee Cohen announced to the crowd that he would drop out of the race (classy guy).
“This is the hardest thing that I ever had to do in my life,” he said before choking up with sobs. ”For the good of the people of the state of Illinois and the Democratic Party, I will resign.”
Time to find a replacement that will hopefully restore some pride.
