Heavy metal fans rioted outside a sold out Metallica concert in Bogota, Colombia Thursday night. Over 160 people were arrested.

It was the band’s first show in Colombia in 11 years.

After tickets quickly sold out at the 30,000 seat venue, people posted messages on Facebook urging fans without tickets to crash the show.

1,500 police were deployed to surround the stadium. Four policemen and four civilians were reported as hospitalized for minor injuries, and one fan was reportedly stabbed in the hand with a knife.

Windows of nearby businesses were smashed and property vandalized and destroyed.

The show went on as planned.

true Metallica fans dont Riot. They will be back and often if they schedule multiple shows in the same city due to the # of fans. Riots are a waste and often reflect baly on the band! Bad Metallica fans, bad!
