Walmart Gang Initiation Hoax

The Thomasville, Georgia police fell for an urban legend. The rumor that people shouldn’t go to Walmart as women were going to be killed as part of a gang initiation then turned into text messages and alerts from the police department and increased security at Walmarts in Georgia and Florida and Texas and Louisiana and New Mexico and Colorado due to the internet and the unverified information that it supplies.
Are there a lot of gangs in this town of 18,162? I mean, just working at Walmart is part of the initiation into the gang that is the AARP.
I typed gang into the Walmart website and here are my results: Sesame Street Gang Growth Chart, Gridiron Gang DVD, Apple Dumpling Gang DVD and Very Best of Kool and the Gang for only $13.88.
I’ll tell you what’s more likely to happen, a gang of deer invade your Walmart and scurry about in front of security cameras. Or of course, Christmas shoppers trampling you to death at the door. But those types of gangs are seasonal so you can avoid that.
